Palkhi celebration

Ashadhi Ekadashi is an auspicious occasion to worship Lord Viththal. Lakhs of devotees gather from various parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka to carry Palkhis with the padukas of various saints and embark on the pilgrimage to Pandharpur as an expression of their devotion to Vithoba. This is an ancient tradition that originated in Maharashtra. It was started by saints and continued by their followers known as warkaris, who follow the wari ritual every year.

The RMD Sinhgad Spring Dale School preserves this precious and traditional culture of‘Waarkaris’ by celebrating the ‘Palkhi Aagaman’ with great enthusiasm . Students showcased their best by dressing up as Waarkaris adorning themselves by carrying realistic props like pictures of Viththal, handmade palkhis, saffron flags and tulsi vrindavan.

The importance of the tradition was emphasized by performing a ‘Dindi’ in which the tinytots of the Pre Primary and Primary Section were dressed up like Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rakhumai . Students danced to the rhythm of kirtans in praise of great saints like Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram.                 The entire school  reverberated with the chanting of

“Viththal, Viththal, Jai Hari Viththal.”

World Environment Day

The World environment Day was celebrated by RMD Sinhgad spring Dale School with great enthusiasm. The day was marked by various activities that aim to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.Various activities were conducted such as poster making, speech and quiz competition all focused on environmental themes. Teachers also gave information regarding environment protection and sustainable living. The students showcased their creativity by making posters that highlighted the need to recycle waste and conserve natural resources. Video related to protecting the environment were shown and questions related to it were asked. The event was conducted successfully with whole hearted participation and awareness.

World Bicycle Day

3rd June 2024 is declared as World Bicycle Day by the UN to acknowledge the contribution that the humble bicycle has made to the lives of humans the world over.Bikes bring us together, after all, better connecting us to our world in a safer, more sustainable way.

World Bicycle Day was organized in RMDSSDS on Monday, 3rd June 2024 by the Sports team. Enthusiastic students from Classes 6 to 12 participated in the bicycle rally & enjoyed the event. Principal Mrs.Asha Dhore, Secondary Supervisor Mrs.Sujata Katke & Sports faculty Mr.Jitendra Chougule Sir gave valuable information of the benefits of using the bicycle as a simple, affordable, clean & environmentally fit sustainable means of transport. Vice Principal Mrs.Ratna Haryal & Primary Supervisor were also present & they encouraged the zealous cyclists. Special thanks to Art/Craft team for poster decoration.

Yoga day

International Day of Yoga or commonly and unofficially referred to as Yoga Day is celebrated annually on 21June since its inception in 2015.An International day for yoga was celebrated unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)
Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in India. The Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi in his UN address suggested the date of 21 June, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the world.
Our school RMDSSDS also celebrated Yoga Day on 21st June 2019. Celebration started with a brief information about yoga and its benefits to maintain a healthy, peaceful mind and body. It was followed by the recitation of Omkar mantra. All the teachers actively participated by performing various asanas in different postures. The sitting posture asanas like: – Padmasan, Virasan, dwikosnasan, trikonasan.
Back posture asanas:- sethubandhanasan, ardhalasan.
Stomach asanas:- Bhujangasaan and dhanurasan.
All the asanas were performed were elegantly by the students and the teachers.
Benefits of each asanas were addressed. Finally the event concluded with shavasan, a session of meditation.

Sport Day

Sports develop a sense of friendliness among the children and develop their team spirit. They help children to develop the mental and physical toughness. Sports shape their body and make it strong and active.Children should actively participate in the sports to avoid of being tired and lethargy.
Education is incomplete without sports. These days sports is an integral part of the education. In schools, children are taught some sort of games in very early stages to keep their values in Life Research has shown that in public school classroom, half of the students are overweight. Hence sports education is very much essential for today’s generation. Running, walking throughout the day make the children physically active.
Thus with this thought in mind, we in RMD Sinhgad SpringDale School celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 8th February,2019.Different sports and sports activities were conducted.
The Sports Day started with the March Past of students which was house wise presentation. Class wise running race was conducted for boys as well as girls. This was for all sections i.e., Primary and Secondary Winners and runners up were selected from the finalists of all classes. Relay race was also taken for secondary classes from standard VI IX.
The Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and spirit. The students cheered and supported their houses and respective classes. Our Principal Mrs. Smita Savant Madam motivated and encouraged students by her inspiring words.
With the overall counting and performance of each house (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) the winner house was declared for the academic year 2018 -2019.

Aerobic Day

Aerobic classes and meditation sessions were conducteed by our sports teacher ‘Dipali Deshpande’ on 29th October 2018. Really it was useful for our students which made them realise the importance of doing Physical activities on daily basis.They thoroughly enjoyed it. Along with Physical fitness, Mental Equillibrium is also very important which they learn by doing meditation.They realised the importance of remaining calm, how to concentrate and stay composed in all situations.

MCF Inter School Drill RMDSSDS got the 3rd Price on occasion of Army day MCF Inter School Drill Competition.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan was started by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is a clean India campaign, which is run by the government to achieve the goal of cleanliness all over India to lead it towards the development. This is the biggest hope for the change in India against unhygienic to remove all the dirt from the country. Therefore, each and every person should take the responsibility to clean their homes and surroundings clean. “EK Kadam Swachhata Ki Ore”

With the above intention, we in RMD conducted the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with great enthusiasm.

Students of VI std pledged and took an oath promising to keep their school, home,city and surrounding clean and will contribute towards maintaining cleanliness. This was done on the 30th July 2018.

Another activity that was conducted to create awareness was Speech Writing on Swachhata Abhiyan. Teachers selected the best speech from each class and the students read it aloud in their respective classes.

To encourage the literacy skills along with being a good citizen.Poetry Competition was conducted.The topic for Poetry was about ‘Swachh Bharat.’From each division of VI std,three best poems were selected and given prizes.

Hygiene is highly related to the happiness.We feel happy when we are in a clean and hygienic place.

With this aim Letter Writing Competition and Debate on Swachh Bharat, Abhiyan was conducted for STD Xth in RMDSSDS on 4th September,2018. Children were asked to write a letter to Our School principal topic Hygiene toilets in our School. Maximum participation was seen among students with lot of interest. Our next activity was on Debate – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan where students came with wonderful thoughts on the given topic. Best students from each division was judge by our Supervisor Ma’am Archana Kadam. Through this students learned many new things about Swachhata and enjoyed a lot!!

E-Waste

‘E – Waste’ is a popular, informal name for electronic products nearing the end of their uselife. E – wastes are considered dangerous as certain components of some electronic products contain materials that are hazardous,depending on their condition and density. The content of these materials pose a threat to human health and environment. Discarded computers, televisions,V.C.Rs, stereos, copiers, fax machines, electronic lamps, cell phones and batteries if improperly disposed can leach lead and other substances into soil and ground water. Many of these products can be reused, refurnished or recycled in an environmentally sound manner so that they are less harmful to the ecosystem.

With the above management topic committee of E -waste management conducted seminars in our RMD Sinhgad Spring Dale school. V to X std students attempted seminar with respective teachers. Seminar Head guided students about e-waste recycling process, proper use of electronic media etc. They had shown video clips to students on screen about e-waste materials and how to recycle it again to reuse.

The Seminar concluded with vote of thanks of E -waste management committee and team.It was indeed a useful seminar.

Ayudha Pujan

Ayudha Puja is an integral part of the Navratri festival(festival of triumph) a Hindu festival which is traditionally celebrated in India. It is also called Astra Puja. On the ninth day of Dussehra festival, weapons and tools are worshipped.

Ayudha Puja also observed as ‘Saraswati Puja.’

Therefore machines,weapons,books and musical instruments are worshipped and also we pay our gratitude towards it.

Independence Day

Freedom is never dear at any price
It is the breath of life.
What would a man not pay for living?

15th August is a day of great importance for India, as it celebrates its 72nd Independence Day.Our Freedom fighters and soldiers have contributed a lot and sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation.We are indebted a lot to the soldiers,who are always on the guard and have safeguarded our independence.

We RMDians celebrated this day with great joy and fervour.The Chief Guest for this ocassion was Project Manager to Sinhgad Technical Education Society,Mr. R.G Khadtare.The other dignatory was Dr.V.V Dixit,Director Principal of R.M.D Engineering College.

The Chief Guest and others paid respect to our tricolour by hoisting the national flag and singing the national anthem.Mrs.Smita Savant Mam (Principal,RMD Sinhgad) felicitated the Chief Guest,Mr.R.G.Khadtare.He gave an inspiring speech and enlightened us with his views on Independence and what we must do as a concerned citizen.

Mr.Khadtare gave away prizes to our X Std toppers(1st batch of CBSE).Our students made us proud with 97.5% result.73 students passed in Distinction, 65 in 1st Class and 49 in 2nd Class.

Yoga Day

Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfilment, harmony between man and nature, a holistic approach to health and well being. It is not about exercise, but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature.

Regularly performing yogasanas,help in the physical and mental growth of an individual, thus leading to increase in concentration.It also helps us to have a good and correct posture.It gives a boost to our confidence, enhancing our personality,thereby enabling and empowering us to be more successful in our lives.

We in RMD Sinhgad celebrated the Yoga day starting with Omkar and Gayatri Mantra.In the beginning stretching and warmup exercises were done.Many different asanas were done, which are as follows:

Labor Day

Labour Day 1st May
Labour Day, a special day dedicated to the labourers and working class people, is a public holiday in most of the countries.It is celebrated on the 1st of may in more than 80 countries.
Labour Day in India was first celebrated on 1st May 1923.
1st May in the state of Maharashtra is also celebrated as Maharashtra Day and in Gujrat it is celebrated as Gujrat Day.This is because in the year 1960 on this very date. Maharashtra and Gujrat attained statehood.
Labour Day, as the name suggests, is celebrated to honour the hard work done by the labourers as well as to honour those who went out of their way to fight for the rights of the labourers.
Our RMDSSDS celebrated 1st May with great enthusiasm.The chief guest for the day was Honourable Dr.Mrs.Sunanda Navale madam,who hoisted the flag and enlightened us with her motivating speech.
Our respected principal mam , Mrs.Smita Savant felicitated Our chief guest, honourable Dr Mrs Sunanda Navale.
The choir group added a feeling of respect for the day by the song by them.
The welcoming and vote of thanks was taken care by our Marathi teachers, Mrs. Pratiksha Suryavanshi Madam and Mrs. Tejashree Agasti Madam.
The entire program was organized and supervised by our respected principal Mrs. Smita Savant and our respected Supervisors Ms. Archana Kadam Madam and Mrs. Arusha Majali Madam. Last but not the least, all the Kaka’s and Mausi’s worked hard for the same by making appropriate arrangement as instructed to them

Republic Day

Republic Day 2018
Republic Day it is the day we became a sovereign nation with a constitution of our own. Before the country in which every state had its own rules. Accepting the constitution finally brought uniformity to the country.
We in RMDSSDS celebrated with great sense of pride and love for our country teachers and students assembled in the school at 7:30am.
Flower decoration was done by our teachers Swatee, Dipti, Kiran and Bhagyashree.
The parade was inspired by the soviet march of Russia that was aimed to flare nationalism and act as deterrent to the any aggressive military action by United Status. We had an visual treat watching parade of our students guided by our Games Teacher Deepali. Fabulous Yoga Display, Patriotic programes by the students guided by 8th Std teachers, Pranjal teacher, Himani teacher. Compering by Sharmishtha teacher. Vote of thanks by Sneha Teacher.

Rally for Rivers

  • Session on save rivers, held on 26 Nov.2017 in RMDSSDS premises in Seminar hall.It was an eye opening clip to save rivers and the conditions we might face after 20 yrs as a result of our ignorance towards this important factor. It was shown to all the std. section wise from 6th to 8th std.
    This is the campaign for saving dry rivers by planting trees on either sides of the rivers and to get water into it, just by giving missed call on the no.80098009.
    It was really very impactful session done by Anjali Hundekar.
    Students showed keen interest and promised active participation with respect to missed call.
    We are very thankful to them for giving such important information to our students.

Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi is the Hindu festival that reveres Lord Ganesha. A ten day festival , it starts on the fourth day of Hindu Lunar Solar Calendar month Bhadrapada
It was in Pune in 1894 that Bal Gangadhar Tilak initiated the concept of Sarvajanik Ganeshutsav the collective communal celebration of the festival of Lord Ganesh.
We too in RMD welcomed the Elephant Headed Lord on 25th August 2017. Our Honorable Principal, Mrs. Smita Savant installed the lord. Our Supervisor Ms. Archana Kadam Madam, teachers, Mausi’s and Kakas were present at the auspicious occasion to have his blessings.
Aarti , Puja was followed by naivedya (offering) of Ganesh’s favorite delicacy the modak Prasad.

Celebration

This year we have hit a Silver Jubilee.It feels great to be part of the Silver Jubilee of our school.The school started in a small building with few students and handful of teachers on 11th November.
It is certainly a great experience and a special occasion.
Different activities, competitions were held for all the classes and teachers as well. Everyone contributed their little bit to make it a success.

  • VI Std. children exhibited their poetic skill by innovative creations about School
  • VII Std. collage making was done with each student exited to show his talent.
  • VIII Std. Poster making was their way of expressing love for the school.
  • X Std. Essay on School was written by the students.
  • We feel that it is necessary to document such occasions and preserve the snaps and sweet memories.
  • IX Std. Essay on School was written by the students.
  • The teachers too participated in the proceedings with their innovative and heart felt Slogans about the school.

Independence Day Celebration

Our school has always been sensitive and thoughtful in bringing awareness regarding social issues with 15th August on the threshold, the patriotic air is all around us.
Our school also celebrated 15th August with national pride and different activities.

  • Welcoming was done by our teacher Mrs.Sujata Katke.
  • The Chief Guest for the programme was M.B. Kurjekar Sir director of placements.
  • He graced the occasion with his presence and motivating speech.
  • Our respected Principal, Mrs.Smita Savant Madam, felicitated Mr.Kurjekar Sir with bouquet of flowers.
  • Our students who put up a great effort with a fantastic output in the 10 th std result were appreciated with small token of appreciation.
  • Discipline among the students was maintained by our teachers, Mrs.Apeksha, Mrs.Rakhi and Khot Sir.
  • The Chief Guest hoisted the tri colour high up in the sky filling us with pride, love and respect towards our country.

May 1st 2017: Maharashtra is one of those states, which was created on 1st May 1960. ‘ Maharashtra Day’ commemorates the formation of the state of Maharashtra from the division of the Bombay state on 1st May 1960.It is commonly associated with parades and political speeches and ceremonies.
Labour Day:- It was first celebrated in Chennai on May 1st 1923 in India.’May Day’ also known as ‘International Workers Day’ is an occasion that pays tribute and respect to workers for their contribution towards making our lives easier.
We in RMD, gathered to celebrate Mayday on 1st May 2017. Chief Guest for the function was our honourable founder Secretary “Prof.Dr. Mrs.Sunanda Navale” Madam who graced the occasion with her motivational speech.Madam hoisted the flag.Our respected Principal ” Mrs. Smita Savant ” Madam felicitated our chief Guest.The teaching and non teaching staff paid their respect through the inspirational song sung by them.The vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Pratiksha Suryavanshi.The programme was hosted by our Marathi teacher Mrs. Anjali Jadhav.Our beloved Principal Mrs.Savant Madam organised and supervised the programme to success.Our Supervisors ” Mrs. Archana Kadam Madam” and “Mrs.Arusha Majali Madam”lead us from the forefront.There was equal contribution from Kakas and Maushis pairing way for a successful programme.

Republic Day

A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people’.
Our country India celebrates the Republic day every year to honour the date when the constitution of India came into force. On 26th of Jan in 1950 our country was declared as a sovereign, secular, socialistic and democratic Republic, means people of India had the power to govern the country themselves.
On 26th Jan, 2017 we celebrated our 68th Republic Day. The programme started with welcoming the chief guest Mr. M B Khurjekar Sir, Director Central Placement Cell. The Chief guest then unfurled our national flag and witnessed the march past parade by the RSP and MCF girls and boys contingent. Our respected principal madam Mrs. Smita Savant felicitated our chief guest Mr. M. B. Khurjekar Sir.A thought provoking speech was given by the chief guest which motivated everyone. After the speech we all saw a daredevil stunt of our motorcycle riders which really made every one proud. Prize distribution ceremony was held where the international, state and MCF level winners were awarded with trophies and medals by our chief guest. Later on a very patriotic cultural programme was showcased where the students of std 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th danced on patriotic songs and filled the environmnet with joy.

Since our childhood, our parents and teachers have focused on imparting us with education outside the four walls of our classrooms. They conduct Gk Quiz to update us with information related to the outside world, which is connected to all of us in some form. This instills a sense of awareness and the need to be vigilant. Due to technological advancement there is information available in many forms like newspaper, internet, television etc. Gk also helps us to grow in acadamic front. It is an on going process and becomes vast with time.
On 17th Jan, 2017 An absolutely Fantastic Quiz Competition was arranged for std 7th. The quiz competition consisted of 10 exciting rounds full of fun and energy, namely Cryptic, Kick off, Dumb Charades, audio-visual, Spell Bee etc. The winner team was the marvellous ‘Green House’.
The competition was a hit because of our respected supervisor Mrs. Archana Kadam madam’s motivation and guidance. Also a wonderful work done by our Secondary teachers Roopa, Sapna,Nidrisha, Sushmita, Anupama ma’am who organised everything.

“Excellence is not a skill. It is an Attitude”
Marshal Cadet Force was established under the Marshal Cadet Foundation on 20th of November 2010. It is 1st ever private institute of its type in the state of Maharashtra, where cadets are trained so as to make them physically and mentally fit along with academic growth. The cadets here learn the art of self defence and discipline. This training teaches self defence without weapons.
Our brave Rmdian girls of std 7th and 8th participated in the March past parade on the occasion of 69th Army Day organised at Anasaheb Magar Stadium, Pimpri on 14th and 15th Jan, 2017. The girls platoon (total of 32 girls) bagged 2nd place out of 60 schools that had participated and made us proud. Its not yet done….our tiny tots from std 3rd D and E too participated for the cultural show and bagged 4th position. They performed Shiv Tandav and depicted ‘Shiva is Shakti, Shakti is Shiva’

Variety is the spice of life. Life without feasts and celebrations is charmless and lifeless. So is true in case of school life. Without functions and celebrations, school life becomes monotonous and uninteresting. Therefore almost all schools have certain annual functions such as a colorful annual gathering.
On 10th and 11th of December, 2016 our school RMD SSDS celebrated Annual Social Gathering ‘Kaleidoscope’ 2016-17 with great pomp and show. The function started with welcoming our Chief Guest Honorable Founder Secretary Dr. Mrs. Sunanda Navale madam, who was felicitated by our respected principal Mrs. Smita Savant ma’am. Other dignitaries, parents and children were also welcomed.
The idea behind the theme ‘Kaleidoscope’ was conveyed by our energetic and talented students through their dance and skit. It was a vivid variety of perception about the Kaleidoscope which was depicted through dance and skit, the difference between celebration of festivals, Bollywood songs, patriotism, role of women etc. as considered in the past and present. The environment was filled with fun and cheering ,where our students made us proud.
The entire show was taken care by our RMDSSDS staff. Our respected principal madam Mrs. Smita Savant and our supervisors Mrs. Archana Kadam and Mrs. Arusha Majali madam have supported and encouraged us and our students throughout ,because of which our annual gathering Kaleidoscope was a grand success. Our show was also appreciated by our Honorable chief guest Founder Secretary Dr. Mrs. Sunanda Navale madam.
Our budding comperes enthusiastically took charge of the gathering and were eloquent at the same time.

n today’s era, multilingualism become it is necessary than just important. Learning a foreign language is an incredibly rewarding experience and enjoyment to the students. To motivate our German language students, we had celebrated German Day on 14th Sept. 2015 in our school. Guests were invited from Max Muller Bhavan. The students participated in different activities related to this language like skit, tongue twisters, songs, speeches, games, debate, dialogues etc. including Welcome speech comparing and Vote of thanks The guests also had arranged quizzes, and activities for the students. Winners were awarded with the prizes. All the students enjoyed the German Day celebration which had definitely motivated them to study further this language and even think of it as an option to pursue a career.
