RSP
RSP – Road Safety Patrol exist in schools throughout the world. In addition to providing safe passage of their fellow students, the students who participate in the RSP develop important qualities and personal skills, including leadership and a sense of social responsibilities. The primary function of RSP are described below –
“To instruct, direct and control students in crossing the roadways at or near schools; and to assist teachers and parents in the instruction of school children in safe pedestrian practices at all times and places”
Our students of std 8th had participated in RSP drive wherein they were given coaching by constables from traffic control branch. The students demonstrated an eye catching march past on the Shivaji Nagar ground and we are proud to mention that our RSP girls platoon was selected for the march past on 26th Jan, 16 and salute our National Flag. The girls were awarded with a trophy for the same. 85 schools had participated, out of which 35 were selected including our RMD SSDS. Both our RSP boys and girls platoon gave their best and made us proud. Each platoon consisted of 32 students. The PT teachers Raskar and Jaydeep sir also contributed for the RSP drive.
